About Xiaohan
During my undergraduate studies in public health, I discovered a wealth of opportunities to improve user experience in both healthcare and the social justice system. This sparked my initial interest in the field of UX. Alongside these experiences, I took web development and UI design classes, which helped me develop strong design skills.
These combined interests and skills have driven me to pursue a Master of Information degree in UX at the University of Toronto, where I aim to deepen my expertise and make a meaningful impact.
- User Research: User Interviews, card sorting, diary studies
- Research Analysis: Affinity diagram, thematic analysis, personas, user stories
- UI/Front End Skills: Figma, HTML/CSS/JS
- Video Production (planning, filming, editing)
- Graphic Design
- Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, illustrator, Premiere)
As a designer, I value deeply about integrity and respect. It is important that my design is reflective of what users need and want - not something that I think they want, or of my personal preferences.
Specifically, I also have an interest in working with design system. Feel free to have a look at the design system for this portfolio website.
